I really like this cream. It's moisturizing and can be used on wet or dry hair. I especially like it for my daughters 3a-3b long curly hair. I just wet it and applied the cream in sections. It detangled her hair and set the curls perfectly. I will be purchasing this again. Quick tip-to experience optimum results with these products, you have to use them together. Use the pumpkin seed conditioner as your base and then the styling products. This is when it worked best for me.

Loved the smell of this product!! I only gave it 4 stars because I haven't used it in all the ways that I plan to. It is very good as a moisturizer leave-in cream for my type 4 hair. Didn't really work on my hair while wet. Then again, not many cream leave-ins work on my hair while it is wet. Damp, it works! Will repurchase this! I'm thinking that Darcy's is my new favorite LINE!

I wanted to love this product, but it was just okay. It worked for me like an average/below average conditioner would. The product is thick, no slip--because it does not contain glycerin. I knew this before I bought it, but KCKT and Giovanni direct leave-in don't have glycerin and they get 4 star ratings from me. My hair is tightly curly and dense and I apply leave-in as soon as I get out the shower to wet hair in 10-12 sections. Next, I apply a heavy styler like gel, so when I can't rake and smooth the final styling product through because my a hair is starting to dry a little--a leave-in is no bueno for me. It smells delightful like hot cocoa and has descent ingredients, but this may work better as a rinse out conditioner or pre-poo for me :-(

3C/4A Sweet coco dreams this stuff smells good and is relaxing I tried this and didnt think it provided much moisture until I styled my hair at night and woke up with lots of shine and my hair just fell into to place. This works good on Twist, Twist-outs, Bantu Knot outs :D an awesome product. I really love it and would totally recommend it esp if you style your hair at night that way you can go into a relaxing chocolately dream and wake up with gorgeous shine :D

Honestly before I bought this I was using Garnier Fructis Smoothing Cream which is more watery than this product BUT I am very pleased with how this has been working out for me. I am trying to not use gel at all because I don't like to crunch that it leaves behind and I am leaning towards a smoothing cream to hold my hair and control the frizz. This stuff is it! It's a thick consistancy and a little goes a very long way. I am not too particular with the smell because it smells just like the product states, cocoa bean, but this is a great product. The first product I have tried from this brand and I'm pleased. Ready to try more products from this line!

I LOVE this Cream!! I pray she never stops making it. I have fine Curly/ Wavy hair and I hate having crunchy hair from gel and this allows me to have hold and the soft hair I like to wear. The smell is delectable and not overpowering. It's thick like a lotion but goes on nice and the slip is Amazing. A little goes a long way. I layer this over my Curl Junkie Argan Oil Conditioner and Smoothing Conditioner. I am even able to have 2 - 3 day hair which is rare for me. My hair stays moisturized which is great. The cocoa butter is much more gentle on my hair than Shea butter. I actually prefer it over Shea so its nice to find a product that contains it and actually works. Great buy for the price. It also worked well over KCKT & Paul Mitchell's The Conditioner. I just wish it came in a larger size. Well a sister can dream can't she??

I love this product! Finally a moisturizer that moisturizes and gives natural shine to my hair. What I love most is I can use this to refresh or detangle without rewetting in between washes and it gives great definition and shine without having to reseal. Its working great for the back of my hair where all the tangles like to start first.

This smells like coconut, vanilla, chocolate yumminess! AND it works! I prefer to use it on damp hair when I'm wearing wash and go's. It gives me the perfect amount of curl definition, keeps frizz at bay, and leaves my hair shiny, but not greasy!

I AM IN LOVE! this could even work for me by itself. i do the whole process of washing my hair then apply Sweet Cocoa Bean Curl Smoothing Cream and finish with curls in a bottle and let air dry. i get 5 days out of this. It leaves my hair soft and it smell soooo yummy! plus this combo doesnt dry crunchy, i feel like i get a little bit of shrinkage but thats okay with me.

This smells SO good - chocolaty vanilla yum. I used it on damp hair and my 2b hair turned out really curly and smooth without using any gel or diffusing (which is awesome because I didn't have to expose my hair to any heat and still got nice fat curls). I really love all the Darcy's stuff I've tried - today I used the cleansing cream, followed with pumpkin seed condish as a rinse-out, then put this cream on, plopped my hair and then let it air dry and wow, my curls popped! It didn't take much, gave great slip (I didn't use a comb at all, just my fingers and my hair was buttery smooth) and is light enough to not weigh down fine hair. Love it!

I love this cream. It moisturizes my type 4 hair really well and smells like chocolate. I use it as a leave-in, followed by a styling cream, and then a pomade. Whenever I do braid-outs with this, my hair is well defined and soft. Try it you won't regret it.

OH I LOVE THIS STUFF!! I put this in my hair every night when I am doing my braid outs and my hair comes out ridiculously soft. And not to mention the smell is amazing, it has a nice cocoa smell to it (which is relaxing to smell after a long day). It's nice to find a product that likes my transitioning hair. This is a keeper!

It's light, but it smells SO DECADENT!!! I wish I could eat it. This is one of the few moisturizers that sinks into my dry hair. I don't have to spritz it with water beforehand, my hair just drinks it up on its own! Very moisturizing, conditioning, and softening. While it does smooth my hair and give it sleek sheen, don't think this is supposed to be a gel or styler -- it's not that kind of "smoothing cream* LOVE IT!

Though this is not a straight butter product, it is my first use of a heavier "buttercream" type product. I have very dense hair and I think heavier butters are usually recommended for that. I used the cocoa cream both by itself and over Loreal anti-humidity leave-in and both worked okay but not great - felt like there was a film on my hair that I didn't care for, and my curls weren't well defined. I then tried this mixed 50/50 with KCNT and the combo worked very well. I picked the KCNT specifically because its ingredients are mostly plant extracts with no oils or butters so it cut the heaviness of the cocoa cream. There is curl definition, hold, and my hair doesn't feel like there is any product in it at all. I had nothing to scrunch - very soft outcome! I still have some very mild frizz but it is not a bad trade off for soft, natural looking (not producty) hair with nice looking curls. I think the best part is that the product reduces shrinkage. Flax seed gel is the best for elminating frizz but the shrinkage is crazy on that for me. I'll continue the combo through the rest of the winter since neither KCNT or the Cocoa Cream have glycerin (or protein!).

Love this product!!! I have a mix of 3b/c and 4a hair and I love how soft and tangle free this makes my hair. Love it as a leave-in and as a refresher. I used it on 3rd day hair to do a ponytail and couldn't believe how easy it was to run my fingers through my coils even without water!!! Very moisturizing and love the chocolate cake batter smell! This is a new HG for me.

Love this stuff! Nice thick consistency but distributes well. Makes my hair very soft!! Used it as a leave in but my favorite is as a refresher. I put some on dry 3rd day hair to do a ponytail and was able to finger comb through with ease! I have a mix of 3b/c and 4a hair and couldn't believe how soft this made my hair. Very moisturizing and to me the smell is like chocolate cake batter!!! New HG for me.

I saw this on the swap board and couldn't resist! First thing you notice (as the name would suggest) is the wonderful aroma, reminiscent of Ghanaian chocolate. The texture is creamy like a lotion, and a little goes a really long way. Which brings me to my one complaint: the first time I used it, my hair was soaking wet, and I used too much. If I had been able to read the microscopic instructions, I would have known to use a SMALL amount on DAMP OR DRY hair. Once I made the correction, I had defined shiny curls with no frizz without the need for a leave-in conditioner. I've been using this as my primary styler, with consistently good results.
This bottle will last me quite a while, but I will definitely repurchase once it's finished.

This is my HOLY GRAIL/STAPLE leave in yall!! First off, it smells like a Hersheys chocolatey, cocoa buttery cup of vanilla beans lol. It looks super loose and liquidy in the bottle, but once you pour some into your hand and rub it in, it feels like a wet cream. The slip is AWESOME, and the moisture allows me to go several days without having to re moisturize. Definite repurchase!!

I really like this product! Although a little strong, I do enjoy the scent. My hair stays moisturized for a few days at a time, which is a plus for me. So overall, I would buy it again.
